The technology of Nanothinx originates from the research work of Prof. Sotirchos (deceased in 2004). His scientific interests lay in reaction engineering, advanced materials processing, and preparation methods (e.g., CVD) of nanomaterials (nanocomposite films and carbon nanotubes (CNTs)). His research group and colleagues have eagerly continued his work on the development and applications of carbon nanotubes. Nanothinx researchers have invented a novel catalytic process for the mass production of multi-wall and single-wall carbon nanotubes with a yield, which is much higher than the ones reported in the literature and by other CNTs manufacturers.
